Art Department photographs

The Drexel Institute Art Department started in 1892, was organized into the Department of Fine and Applied Art in 1895, and ended in 1905.  Howard Pyle, noted American illustrator, directed the School of Illustration, a subdivision of the Art Department, from 1894 to 1900.
