Guidelines for donating published material

The Drexel University Archives will preserve and make available a single copy of published materials that fall within the following categories:

All publications by Drexel faculty, including books and journal articles.  Visit the faculty donations page for information about donating other types of material.

Publications about Drexel University or published by Drexel departments and offices, including any book or article related the history of Drexel University and its predecessor institutions, as well as pamphlets, handbooks, newsletters, and other ephemeral material.

Publications about the Drexel family, including all historical, biographical, and genealogical books and articles. Unpublished material will be accepted if deemed appropriate by the archivist.  Publications related to the contemporaries of founder Anthony J. Drexel will also be considered.

Publications that complement the current archives holdings.  For example, material related to the history of higher education or the history of Philadelphia will be considered.

If the material you would like to donate meets these guidelines, please contact the university archivist at 215-895-1757 or archives@drexel.edu.  Questions about donating other types of published material should be directed to the Head of Information Services, at 215-895-6164 or edm25@drexel.edu.
