MC 46 Jacqueline C. Mancall papers, 1974-2003, 6 cubic feet
The Jacqueline C. Mancall papers consist primarily of speeches, publications, conference materials, and grant records projects from the career of a Drexel information science professor.
Box 1 contains drafts and handouts relating to speeches given by Mancall at the 2002 Pennsylvania School Librarians Association (PSLA) Conference and the 2002 School/Public Librarian Cooperation Conference, printouts of relevant e-mail correspondence, a 3.5″ floppy disk with files relating to a “keynote speech,” other conference materials, VHS videotapes of 1991 collections development teleconference sessions (including a master copy of a Mancall presentation), a report and 3.5″ floppy disk on “Dr. Drott’s Random Sampler: Using the Computer as a Tool for Library Management” by M. Carl Drott, and materials from a Drexel “New Methods for Teaching Effectiveness” course taught by Elizabeth L. Haslan and Presley Martin in Winter 1996.
Boxes 2 through 5 mostly contain drafts, papers, or journal articles written by Mancall, sometimes within the journal issues themselves; Box 4 also contains some student theses.
Box 6 holds files and correspondence (c. 2000-2003) relating to an Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Leadership Grant awarded to Drexel in 2000 under Mancall’s supervision, along with materials from grant-related presentations or workshops given or attended by Mancall.
