UR 3.8 Office of Research Administration records, 1960-1990, 1.5 cubic feet
This collection consists of quarterly reports produced by the Office of Research Administration. The reports summarize external funding received in the form of grants, research support, or contracted services provided by the university. They also list individual grant applications by faculty members and academic departments. Also included with the collection is a manual for the Office of Research Administration and a grant application to the National Science Foundation requesting support for building its research program.

UR 3.12 Office of the Registrar records, 1941-1978, 0.33 cubic feet
This collection consists of annual reports of the registrar from 1947 to 1960, 1964, and 1968; statements of registration from 1970 to 1978; memoranda sent by the registrar from 1974 to 1978; degree statistics from 1941 to 1945; and some correspondence with Dean R.C. Disque. Both the annual reports and the statements of registration contain statistical data on enrollment (broken down by college and by grade level); records from various years also contain breakdowns by geographic region and graduation figures.

UR 10.5 Office of Government Relations records, 1981-1996, 5.33 cubic feet
In 1970, the Office of Community Affairs took on responsibility for government affairs efforts and became the Office of Government and Community Affairs. Government affairs staff lobbied in Washington, D.C., and Harrisburg, Pa., with the goal of increasing government funding for research, securing state aid, and generally raising the profile of the university locally, nationally, and internationally. In 1985, government affairs functions were moved to the Office of University Relations. This collection consists of subject files compiled by government relations staff from 1981 to 1996. It contains files on particular legislators documenting lobbying activities, on individual bills and laws, and on state and federal aid, as well as reports on and proposals for public funding for higher education.

UR 3.3 Office of Continuing Professional Education records, 1970, 1975-1990, 1 cubic foot
The collection consists chiefly of course catalogs and promotional brochures for classes and special programs offered through the Office of Continuing Professional Education in 1970 and from 1975 to 1986. It also contains a few administrative records and a publication called “Prospectus for Professional Development” published by the Office of Continuing Professional Education from 1977 until 1979.

Four presidents of Drexel University are represented in the collection: James Creese (1896-1966, president 1945-1963), William Walsh Hagerty (1916-1986, president 1963-1984), William Samuel Gaither (b. 1932, president 1984-1987), and Richard Breslin (b. 1937 or 1938, president 1988-1994). The collection consists of subject files, reports, and other materials compiled by the staff of the Office of the President between 1950 and 1989.

Kolbe (1881-1942, president 1932-1942), George P. Rea (1894-1978, president 1942-1944), R. C. Disque (1883-1968, interim president 1944-1945), and James Creese (1896-1966, president 1945-1963). The collection consists of annual reports, financial records, Board of Trustees files, and subject files on events, individuals, and subjects significant to the history of the Drexel Institute.
