Environmental Research Letters–Open Access Journal

The good folks at Institute of Physics (IoP) have just launched a new journal, Envionmental Research Letters as an open access journal. From their web site, ERL “will provide a coherent and integrated approach including research articles, perspectives, news and editorials, as well as meeting notices for the environmental science community.”

Here’s just an example of some of first articles:

Researchers from the University of California predict that the continually accelerating rate of species extinction could cause serious problems for humanity

Researchers from NASA have been studying the threat that rising sea levels and hurricane storm surge cause by climate change could pose to New York City
