New Department at FAO!

Natural Resources Management and Environment Department became an official department of the FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations). This new department is responsible management of natural resources being the key to attaining sustainable agricultural and rural development. The Natural Resources Management and Environment Department will be concerned with the following areas:

Studies in Mycology

The Fungal Biodiversity Centre (CBS) – an institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences – taxonomy series “Studies in Mycology” is an international journal which publishes systematic monographs of filamentous fungi and yeasts, and at occasions the proceedings of special meetings related to all fields of mycology, biotechnology, ecology, molecular biology, pathology and systematics. “Studies in Mycology” is an open access journal that is freely available on the internet.

Environmental Science Database–JUST ADDED

We have just added a new database to our ever growing list of databases. Environmental Science Database provides coverage of topics such as soil erosion, erosion control, biodegradation, bioremediation, and more. Environmental Science Database also contains information on such diverse environmental issues as the impact of tourism on the environment, deforestation and forest decline, and biological treatment of wastes. Updated on a quarterly basis, Environmental Science Database is especially relevant for academics, researchers, consultants and others interested in the environmental aspects of agriculture, forestry, food, and rural development.
