Careers Pick of the Week:

Reflections: Preparing for your Practicum and Internship

Location: Hagerty Careers LC1072 .I58 B65 2008

With the start of a new co-op cycle upon us, many of you are heading out to your first (or second, or third!) co-op this week.  If this is your first job outside of being a lifeguard or pizza delivery boy, you can expect a learning curve as you adjust to working in the professional world.  And whether or not you got  your first choice co-op, there are still many opportunities for you to grow and learn from your experience.  This book provides you with strategies for doing just that, and ensuring that you get the most out of your internship, co-op, or practicum.  With chapters on getting placed, what to expect as an intern, communication and networking, and more, this book can provide you with the tools you need to get the most out of your Spring/Summer co-op!
