American Institute of Physics is 75!

Yes, AIP is celebrating 75 years of service to physics communities world-wide. Check out their Anniverary Home page at: http://www.aip.org/anniversary/
There will be activities throughout the year, but NOTE: there will be live broadcasts today and tomorrow.

Also, the Journal of Applied Physics will publish its 100th volume this year. Over it’s 75 year history, it has published over 94,000 papers. Check out the history of this venerable journal at: http://jap.aip.org/jap/75th/journal_history.jsp

As part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of Journal of Applied Physics, this special electronic collection of freely available articles highlights a sample of the most highly cited papers published in the journal over the years. The collection is divided into two sections: first are sample articles from Applied Physics Reviews, which is an integral part of the journal, followed by a selection of contributed articles from Journal of Applied Physics.
