How do I set up RSS feeds using PubMed database?

PubMed offers RSS 2.0 (Really Simple Syndication) feeds of updated content available in the database. An RSS reader is required to use this service on your computer and retrieve new items from PubMed. There are numerous RSS readers from which to choose and many are available to download free from the Web.  See 'Using RSS to increase user awareness of e-resources in academic libraries' for more information on keeping current with new information from various electronic resources.  Try web based feed readers such as Google Reader or Bloglines to subscribe to feeds of updated content from PubMed or any other databases that provide RSS feeds option.

See: RSS feeds from PubMed

To set up an RSS feed:
(1) Run your search in PubMed.
(2) Select RSS Feed from the Send to menu.
(3) Click Create Feed and copy the XML icon into your RSS Reader
