Use SAE Advanced Search page to search for any SAE technical paper, books or conferences.
Change ‘Search in’ box to paper, book or conferences depending on what you are looking for.
Once you find the title of the SAE book, technical paper or conference you need, go through the following steps:
a. for a book published by SAE.
For example, you need Mike Westbrook’s book on Electric and Hybrid Car found on the SAE website.
Go to the library’s online catalog. You will find the book
The electric car : development and future of battery, hybrid and fuel-cell cars
If the book that you need, is not available in the library, use Borrow from Other Libraries via E-Z Borrow to request the book you need.
b. If you are looking for a technical paper or conference, search in the ‘Advanced Keyword Search’ page in the online library catalog..
For example, if you are looking for Motorsports Engineering Conference, by searching in ‘Advanced Keyword Search’ for Motorsports Engineering Conference, you will see that we have several of those conferences including the one published in 2006.
C. Once you determine that the library does not own the conference, use the following:
Use ‘Borrowing from other libraries’ link to request any articles you need (that we do not have in print or electronic form). Click on ‘Hagerty Library’ and if you are the First Time User, fill up one time form at ‘First Time User Registration for Interlibrary Loan’ and then start requesting the type of material you need. Select ‘Request an article’, ‘Request a book’ or ‘Request a conference paper’. You will receive your articles in the electronic form as soon as possible. You will need to pick up your book from the Circulation desk once you are notified.
