Thermodex

ThermoDex contains records for selected printed and web-based compilations of thermochemical and thermophysical data for chemical compounds and other substances. You can select one or more compound types and link them to one or more property terms, and ThermoDex will return a list of handbooks that could contain these data. Due to copyright and technical considerations, the actual data are not contained in ThermoDex. ThermoDex is based primarily on the holdings of the Mallet Chemistry Library at the University of Texas at Austin. Links are provided to identify library holdings in your area. Click on the link ‘Find in a Library’ , enter location information for example, zip-code 19104, and click on ‘Go’ to see if local libraries have the item you are looking for.

Finding Building Codes using library resources

Using Library’s online catalog and using ‘International Bulding Code’ in the title field, we can locate print version of the code at International Building Code.

MAD CAD is the electronic database where you can find online version of this code. It contains building codes, knowledge-based design solutions, and guidelines to meet the codes. MAD CAD will provide you access to cross-referenced collections of building, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire, and maintenance codes from BOCA, SBCCI, ICBO, ICC, and NFPA.

To access MAD CAD, go to Building Codes and click on MAD CAD. Notice that International Bulding Code – BC 2006 is also available online through MAD CAD. You will see it on your left column after you enter MAD CAD.
