Comprehensive Composite Materials, Encyclopedia of Materials and Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology

Comprehensive Composite Materials provides a unique reference source for scientists and technologists in the field of composites research. The six volumes covers key aspects of naturally occuring and synthetic composite materials, including: history reinforcements, matrix materials, mechanical properties, physical properties, theory, structural design, structural analysis, manufacturing processes, quality assurance, test methods, applications, recycling and disposal.

Access: Comprehensive Composite Materials

The Encyclopedia of Materials: Science and Technology presents around 1,800 articles written by experts in their fields, resulting in a comprehensive coverage of this broad and wide-ranging subject. The study of materials is interdisciplinary in nature and requires knowledge of research in many related fields, such as physics, chemistry, engineering and even biomedical science. This comprehensive reference work covers areas such as: Functional Phenomena, Structural Phenomena, Fundamental Core Theory, Structural Materials, Polymers and Materials Chemistry, and Functional Materials,

Access: The Encyclopedia of Materials: Science and Technology

The Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology presents over 500 articles addressing all areas of polymer science. Updated quarterly with new and substantially revised articles, the Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology is an invaluable resource for researchers providing information about polymers, plastics, fibers, biomaterials, elastomers, and polymerization processes.

DoE Data Explorer: Discovering Data in the Department of Energy

The DOE Data Explorer (DDE) is an information tool which includes a database of citations prepared by the Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) based on the information found at various data-hosting Web sites. The DOE Data Explorer can be used to find collections of scientific research data, such as computer simulations, figures and plots, interactive maps, multimedia, numeric files, and scientific images. It is intended to be particularly useful to students, the public, and to researchers who are new to a field or looking for experimental or observational data outside their normal field of expertise. Each collection is funded either in whole or in part by the Department of Energy.

Information on major data centers funded by the U.S. Department of Energy is available at: DoE Data Explorer
