2002-2009 Data Now in Journal Citation Reports on the Web

The 2002-2009 data are now available for Journal Citation Reports on the Web. Journal Citation Reports presents quantifiable statistical data that provides a systematic, objective way to evaluate journals and their impact and influence in the research community. Covers more than 7,000 of the worlds most highly cited, peer-reviewed journals in the physical and social sciences. Offers access to citation statistics from 1997 onward Enables users to sort data by: Impact Factor, Immediacy Index, Total Cites, Total Articles, Cited Half-Life and Journal Title.

Journal Citation Reports® is published annually in two editions. Only the editions and years that your institution subscribes to appear on the home page.

JCR Science Edition contains data from over 7,300 journals in science and technology.

JCR Social Sciences Edition contains data from over 2,200 journals in the social sciences.

The year that you select is the JCR year. All of the data that you see for journals and subject categories come from journal data published in that year. For example, if you select JCR Science Edition 2006, and you search for a particular journal, you will see the 2006 data for that journal, including:

  • Number of articles published in the journal in 2006
  • Number of citations to that journal from articles published in 2006
  • Impact Factor calculated from 2006 data, and so on

Access from the Library Website: Databases by Title and then click on Journal Citation Reports.

ThermoDex: An Index of Selected Thermodynamic and Physical Property Resources

ThermoDex contains records for selected printed and web-based compilations of thermochemical and thermophysical data for chemical compounds and other substances. You can select one or more compound types and link them to one or more property terms, and ThermoDex will return a list of handbooks that could contain these data. Due to copyright and technical considerations, the actual data are not contained in ThermoDex. ThermoDex is based primarily on the holdings of the Mallet Chemistry Library at the University of Texas at Austin. Links are provided to identify library holdings in your area.

See: ThermoDex: An Index of Selected Thermodynamic and Physical Property Resources

Suppose we need to find information on ‘Enthalpy’ and ‘Gibbs Free Energy’. Mark the items in ‘Thermodex’, and then click on ‘Search’.  We find a book titled ‘Chemical Properties Handbook’. Click on ‘Find in a Library’ link and use Zipcode 19104 to see if our Library has this book. The first link tells us that our library do have a copy of this reference book. See Drexel University Libraries link to locate information on where to find this book. However, one important point to remember is that this link points only to the print version. We do subscribe to the electronic version of this book. Therefore, it is necessary to check our online catalog as well.

Access the electronic version at: Chemical Properties Handbook
