You told us what you want, what you really, really want!

The "Quick-scan" station near the Hahnemann Library circulation desk was intended as a pilot, to see whether students and other library patrons would like it. Your comments made it very clear that it was a valued addition to library services.

We're happy to announce that we've replaced the pilot scanning station with permanent equipment that has all the features you liked so much, plus a few more bells and whistles:

• Encrypted PDFs -- you can scan a document, and create a password-protected pdf to ensure your privacy (but make sure you don't leave the original in the scanner!).
• Scan to your smartphone -- scan a document, then transfer it to your smartphone by reading the QR Code from the screen.

The new scanning station still has an intuitive, touch-screen interface, but of course assistance is always available at the circulation desk or the reference desk.
