The Hahnemann Library now has a collection of leisure DVDs available for borrowing by Drexel patrons. The basic or starter collection is in place, and new titles will be added as they arrive. DVDs circulate for five days, cannot be renewed, must be returned to the Hahnemann Library, and are limited to two per person. Please come take a look- they are located in the leisure seating area on the 2nd floor, near the collection of leisure books.

Animation Videos in Pharmacology E-Book (Goodman & Gilman)
Did you know that animation videos are available in the online version of Goodman & Gilman’s The Pharmacological Basis of Therapeutics? Videos are highlighted on the contents listing for the book.
A new one was recently added to those already online: Sinus Node Electrophysiology This animation focuses on the ion channels and transporters that are the primary targets of neurotransmitters of the autonomic nervous system that affect heart rate and drugs used to treat arrhythmias.

OR-Live allows users to view both live and archived surgical procedures. Specialties covered include cardiology, orthopaedics, pediatrics, and more. The archives are browsable by specialty or by institution. OR-Live also has a library for healthcare professionals and forums for online discussion.

Scitalks is a new database of over one thousand recorded science lectures from all over the world. Submissions are added daily. Users can browse through categories or search the website.

Hahnemann Library Audiovisuals Have Moved!
Hahnemann Library’s audiovisual collection, which was housed on the first floor in the micro center, has now been moved to the second floor, opposite the leisure book collection and magazines. Relocating the AVs means users can browse freely for any audiovisuals in the collection. Select videos and CDs have been moved into the reserve collection.

Histology laserdiscs are still available at the first floor computer center desk.
