Carcinogenic Potency Database (CPDB)

PubMed contains a new database called Carcinogenic Potency Database (CPDB) developed by the Carcinogenic Potency Project at the University of California, Berkeley, and by the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. CPDB has standardized analyses of the results of 6540 chronic, long-term animal cancer tests that have been conducted since the 1950’s and reported in the general published literature or by the National Cancer Institute and the National Toxicology Program. CPDB is also available on the TOXNET-Toxicology Database Network under the Additional Resources section.

RefWorks Improvements–New Write-N-Cite and More!

From RefWorks.com

Write-N-Cite III: The new beta version of Write-N-Cite allows users to write and format a paper completely offline. You will be able to insert temporary citation placeholders, view your references, and more.

Improved APA Bibliography Formatting: RefWorks is the first bibiographic management vendor that will automatically detect whether a reference has a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) or other electronic information and print the appropriate information in your bibliography when an APA output style is selected – meeting the new APA guidelines. Click here to learn how this works.

Deleted References Folder: References that you delete from your account will be automatically stored in a Deleted References folder for 30 days. This folder is accessible by selecting Folders, View, Deleted References from the toolbar. References can be restored to their original location in your database from within this folder. File attachments, RefShare comments and folder designation all remain until the reference is permanently deleted.

Improved RefGrab-It Results For PubMed and Amazon: RefGrab-It will now retrieve all the related articles for a record when looking at the detailed record view in PubMed. When used with Amazon, related books will also be included. This provides users with even more supplemental information to import directly into their RefWorks database.
