A new multi-use classroom is being constructed at the Hahnemann Library, beginning on Monday, March 31. We hope the noise and disruption will be minimal. This project to enhance our facilities should be completed no later than May 12.

The National Center for Health Statistics has released several new publications entitled NCHS Data Briefs. They provide information about current public health topics, summarizing complex data into a more accessible document. The briefs are usually available in PDF format.

Women’s Health Resource Available
The National Library of Medicine has a new Women’s Health Resource which provides information on major topics in women’s health from scientific journals and other peer reviewed sources. The database was created by the the National Library of Medicine Office of Outreach and Special Populations and the National Institutes of Health Office of Research on Women’s Health. It includes links to major reports and NLM databases.

Due to feedback from users, Exam Master’s testing interface has been updated. The new interface has:
1. More modern appearance
2. Lab. values page now available in a separate window (major user request)
3. Exam. clock counts down in seconds (another major request)
4. Better navigation

New APA Electronic Style Manual Available
The APA Style Guide to Electronic Resources shows users how to cite all kinds of electronic resources. It supplements the electronic resources information found in the APA Style Manual. and has information on citing electronic resources such as ebooks, podcasts, wikis, and undated content on a website. This ebook can be found through the library catalog or on the Health Sciences Ebooks pages.
Hahnemann to Queen Lane Shuttle Schedule Revised
Starting March 12th, the NCB to Queen Lane shuttle schedule has been revised to accomodate peak and off peak capacity needs. There will also be new buses- two 25-passenger buses and one 24-passenger ADA-equipped bus.
