You might notice something different when you enter Hagerty this month. Starting this week, and for the next 30 days, Hagerty’s atrium will host a Steelcase Media:Scape table for the Drexel community to try out. This high-tech table seats 5-6 and includes laptop hook ups and two large flat-screen display monitor for enhanced collaboration.
Bring your laptop or check one out at the circulation desk. Plug it into the table and test it out. Feedback instructions are on the blue and white cards on the table. Soon we’ll have the table up and running in our room reservation system so you can reserve it just like a study room. Look for “Mediascape” in the reservation system.

On Monday, November 9th the law library on Hagerty’s third floor will reopen to all Drexel Students. We know it’s been tough finding space to spread out and get your work done during the law school’s exam period. We appreciate your patience.
When the third floor reopens to the Drexel community, we will also reopen the main library to alumni and members of the public. Starting Monday, 7:30a.m., all are welcome.
Thanks for your patience during law school exams.
If you’re looking for writing help in the evening, you’ve now got added options at the library. Starting this week, the Writing Center has added drop-in peer tutors to its roster of experts offering writing help in the library.
In addition to their regular schedule of by-appointment faculty writing help in the evening, the Writing Center’s peer tutors will be available to provide drop-in assistance three evenings a week, now through the first week of December. Swing by Hagerty Library, room 210. Here’s the peer help schedule:

Wednesdays, 5-8p.m.

(Writing help won’t be available the week of November 21st, Thanksgiving week)
These hours are in addition to the Writing Center’s regular evening hours, which are by appointment only.

For peer help, just drop in. You’ll be glad you did!
We’re updating our cleaning schedule in the Bookmark Café. Starting this Monday, November 2nd, the café will close between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. on weekdays and 3 and 4 p.m. on weekends. This will allow sufficient time for us to give the café a good scrub.
The main part of the library is open during our café cleaning hours. If you’re studying in the café during cleaning time, you’re welcome to move into the main part of the library while you wait for the staff to finish their work.
We’ll also be installing larger trash bins in the café. Please use them and help us maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable work environment at Hagerty Library.
