Welcome back! We’re so glad to have you back for summer term. You may have noticed we made some changes while you were away. First, there are a lot more tables and chairs on the first floor of Hagerty, and second, the Bookmark Cafe is now closed.
Bookmark Cafe has closed for a summer of renovations. Meanwhile, its furniture has moved into the main part of Hagerty’s first floor, making the library an even better place for studying comfortably, or just curling up with a leisure book in our breezy (but not too cold) air conditioning.
And stay tuned; this fall the cafe will reopen with updated decor and study-friendly fare.
In honor of the first weekend of summer, reference help is closing early today. We’ll shut down at 11:30 am. Got a question? Call, write, email, IM, or stop by and visit. We’re back up and running starting Saturday at noon.
We’ll take another break on Sunday, but then we’re back to our regular reference schedule, seven days a week, starting Monday, June 21st. See you then!
Now on display at Hagerty Library, student-made artists books from Professor Walter Moleski’s Philosophy of Architecture class. These innovative books can be considered an art form in themselves, as well as a compelling support for each students’ argument. The books represent a culmination of a term of coursework, class discussions, written assignments and readings.
Hagerty’s Bookmark Cafe will be closed for the summer to undergo renovations. Come back in the fall for a new space and some updated food options!
Don’t forget: Snacks can still be found in the vending machines in room L15 on Hagerty’s lower level. The machines will move back to the cafe in the fall.
Looking for magazines? They’re permanently moving to Hagerty’s lower level, where they’ll live with the bound journals.
Congratulations to Hagerty Library’s graduating work study students.
Best wishes to you all!
