Visit Hagerty Library on Thursday, October 1st to experience our 1st ever eResources Fair!
We’ll be offering food, prizes, and giveaways as you learn more about the terrific resources Drexel Libraries provide. There are wonderful opportunities for knowledge and fun found online through e-journals, e-books and databases licensed by Drexel University Libraries, and the Hagerty eResources Fair will help you make your way though these invaluable learning tools.
Even if you’re an old pro in the library databases, we bet there’s a lot you don’t know. Who knows? Maybe you’ll pick up some good tips while you’re picking up your snack.
We’re updating Hagerty’s leisure DVD collection with the latest releases, and we want you to help us choose the keepers and the throwbacks.
Here’s your chance to tell us what you want. Click here and cast your ballot for the best and the worst of the latest releases. The titles with the most “yes, please” votes will get added to Hagerty’s leisure DVD collection.
Vote early. We close polling at the end of the day on Tuesday, October 6th.

It’s Banned Book Week at libraries across the country. Each year we celebrate the freedom to read by highlighting books that have been the target of attempted banning and censorship.
Check out the American Library Association’s list of the ten most challanged books of 2008. Then come on down to the University Archives to check out its exhibit from the rare books collection representing more than 1,000 years of banning, burning, and censorship.
A reception celebrating the exhibit will be held this Wednesday, 4-6pm in Hagerty’s lower level. Join us on Wednesday and all this week to think, discuss, and READ.
Ahoy, mateys!
It’s pirate day in the library. Join us in the lower level for the Drexel University Archives welcome back open house. We’ll be a-yo-ho-ho-ing from 4-6pm this (Friday) afternoon.
Learn about the archives’ booty, and grab some grub while you’re at it.
See you there.
If you haven’t been on Hagerty’s main floor in the last 2 hours, then you haven’t seen our new Macs. We’ve just installed 12 brand spankin’ new Macs in the computer hubs, and they are terrific. Come by and check them out, but don’t wait too long, because they’re already very popular.
