The Bookmark Café will undergo it’s usual daily closures for cleaning this weekend, but it will be shortened by a half hour. This means that on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st, the café will be closed from 3:30-4p.m. instead of 3:00 to 4. You get an extra half hour to study in café luxury!

Future Furniture
You might notice something different when you enter Hagerty this month. Starting this week, and for the next 30 days, Hagerty’s atrium will host a Steelcase Media:Scape table for the Drexel community to try out. This high-tech table seats 5-6 and includes laptop hook ups and two large flat-screen display monitor for enhanced collaboration.
Bring your laptop or check one out at the circulation desk. Plug it into the table and test it out. Feedback instructions are on the blue and white cards on the table. Soon we’ll have the table up and running in our room reservation system so you can reserve it just like a study room. Look for “Mediascape” in the reservation system.

Referencing the Past

We love electronic reference works (and we know you do too), but sometimes the only thing that will do is a book. Reference books have a very long history; learn all about it in a new exhibit from Drexel’s Rare Books Collection displaying historic texts, including the Lexicon of Sextus Pompeius Festus, circa 1622.
Come celebrate our latest exhibit this Wednesday, November 18th from 4-6p.m. on Hagerty’s lower level. All are welcome to the opening celebration, and complimentary refreshments will be served. Visit the University Archives for more information.

Culinary Commentary
In case you missed it, Dining Services is conducting a survey about campus food options. There are no specific questions about the food at Hagerty Library, but if you make it to the end you can fill in your own comments.
We’ve received a lot of commentary about food options in the Bookmark Café, so we know you’ve got something to say. Take a minute, fill out the survey, and get your voice heard. And don’t forget: you’ll be entered to win a Nintendo Wii!
