E-Z Borrow is Back

If you have used E-Z Borrow in the past, you will now notice that it has a new and improved interface. Some key advantages of the new interface include more streamlined (and faster) searching, advanced search features, better and condensed search results, and improved search retrieval time. All participating libraries are searched at once, rather than being divided into search groups as they were previously. The search results are more relevant and you now have the option of sorting by relevance, title, or publication date. You will also see item availability, including if it’s available at Drexel. If Drexel owns the book, you will be given a link to the online catalog where you can place your request. Additionally, if a book is not available through E-Z Borrow, you will be given the option to request the title via ILLiad.

Please direct questions or comments about this to Lynda Sadusky via email (lsadusky@drexel.edu), or phone at (215) 762-2628.

Spotlight on the Libraries’ video tutorials

When you need to learn how to do something, do you ever search YouTube? Why not do the same when it comes to library research?

Drexel University Libraries manages its own YouTube channel with videos on a variety of research tools such as Summon, RefWorks, ProQuest, and CINAHL.

In addition to tutorials that focus on using tools, there are videos to help you develop research skills and strategies – still confused about the difference between scholarly and popular sources? We have a video that can help. The channel also showcases presentations and special events.

You can also access the video tutorials on the library’s website.

If you would like to suggest a video topic, please leave a comment to let us know.

Welcome Back!

Welcome to summer term! We’re happy to see you.

Yes, there are some things about being at school in the summer that are not ideal. But one of the perks is that the library is quieter in the summer. And we’re getting right into the swing of things, resuming our regular term hours starting this weekend, Saturday, June 18th.

Come by, get a head start on readings, or just enjoy the solitude!

Calling all faculty!

If there’s one thing we know about students, it’s that they want more  course readings on reserve. Help them out by getting your summer course reserves squared away as soon as possible. Your students will thank you for it, and so will we.

All the details are listed on our “Course Reserves” page, where you can also find links to the library’s online or printable form. Got a question? Contact the library’s reserves desk. We’ll get back to you soon.
