Fix the paper towel dispenser in the basement level bathroom. Also the bathroom doors tend to lock you in. The first floor bathroom tends to smell a lot as well.

Thanks for writing. I think you were talking about the men’s bathroom, since the women’s has been closed since before you wrote. As of today the towel dispenser in the men’s lower-level bathroom was working properly. If you have the problem again, would you please tell us the specifics so that we can fix it? We know that the first floor bathrooms do not smell fantastic. We are working with facilities to update the bathroom plumbing. They are renovating the women’s bathroom in the lower level now.

There are always fruit flies in the men’s toilet on the ground floor and it always stinks.

I’m really sorry about this. We are continually working with facilities to improve the situation in the bathrooms.

The bathrooms smell really bad. Can we have strong air fresheners in all the bathrooms and set a schedule for them to be cleaned three times a day?

Thanks for your comment. I’m sorry about the smell. We are looking into installing and maintaining air fresheners. Considering the available staffing and the amount of use that Hagerty’s bathrooms get, Drexel  Facilities has set a schedule for cleaning the bathrooms twice a day. If you encounter a problem in any of Hagerty’s bathrooms, please tell a library staff member as quickly as possible so we can call Facilities to address the problem.

Please clean the first floor bathroom.

There hasn’t been any soap in the men’s room on the first floor of Hagerty since Friday!!  I told someone at the circulation desk on Friday and again yesterday, and (as of 10 minutes ago, when I checked again) it has yet to be replaced.  This seems like a sanitary issue that should be addressed at some point.

Thanks very much for writing, and I’m sorry about the soap situation. We’ve heard from several people about this. In fact, the dispenser is not empty—it’s broken. We’re aware of the problem and have been working with facilities to get the dispenser fixed and filled. In the meantime, there is a working soap dispenser in the handicapped stall of that bathroom. I know it’s not ideal, but please do use it until facilities fixes the main soap dispenser.
