If you have used E-Z Borrow in the past, you will now notice that it has a new and improved interface. Some key advantages of the new interface include more streamlined (and faster) searching, advanced search features, better and condensed search results, and improved search retrieval time. All participating libraries are searched at once, rather than being divided into search groups as they were previously. The search results are more relevant and you now have the option of sorting by relevance, title, or publication date. You will also see item availability, including if it’s available at Drexel. If Drexel owns the book, you will be given a link to the online catalog where you can place your request. Additionally, if a book is not available through E-Z Borrow, you will be given the option to request the title via ILLiad.
Please direct questions or comments about this to Lynda Sadusky via email (lsadusky@drexel.edu), or phone at (215) 762-2628.
Need a book that’s not at Drexel Libraries? EZ Borrow is usually the answer. But EZ Borrow is experiencing some growing pains, and while it settles, we’re asking those looking to borrow books from other libraries to use ILLiad instead.
Not sure how to use ILLiad? Just click on the link from “My Library Accounts,” sign in with your Drexel ID and password, and you’ll be prompted to set up an account.
And if you’re still unsure, just contact the reference desk. We’re happy to help.
E-Z Borrow hit a few snags in its downtime last Friday, but it’s back up and running full steam ahead. Unfortunately, if you requested books using E-Z Borrow between 7:15pm on Thursday, April 9th and 9:15am on Friday, April 10th, your request was not processed, and you’ll need to enter the request again. This was the only hitch affecting users. Log on and get borrowing!
E-Z Borrow is down for longer than we expected. Stay tuned for an update when its up.
E-Z Borrow has been hard at work getting you those must-have items from other libraries as quickly as possible. But hard workers need naps from time to time, and E-Z Borrow’s will be the morning of Friday, April 10th from 9am to noon. Can’t find what you’re looking for at Hagerty? Get your request in before 9am on Friday, or come back at noon, when E-Z Borrow will be refreshed and ready to take your order.
You may already know that if you can’t find what you need at a Drexel library, you can use E-Z Borrow and Interlibrary Loan and have it delivered from another library. But you may not know all of the ins and outs of how to use the system. Before you start scouring the region for that coveted title, take a minute to check out our new E-Z Borrow and Interlibrary Loan FAQ.
Already seen it? We’ve just added updates, so you might want to take another look at how and why you should use our free, fast, and easy system.
