Happy New Year! Drexel Libraries are happy to see you!
This term is going to fly by. Before you know it, early spring will be beckoning you away from your finals cram session. Start your spring fever prevention course now by checking in at the library. We’ll help you get started on your research topic, hook you up with text books on course reserve, and outfit your study group with its own private work room.
Drexel University Archives welcomes everyone to campus with an exhibit called “Greetings on Thee, Little Guys: A History of Freshmen at Drexel”
Stop by Hagerty’s atrium and wax nostalgic with a peek at photographs and artifacts reflecting the history of freshman life at Drexel.
The opening reception for this exhibit is today, from 4 to 6p.m. in the Hagerty atrium.
Come for the refreshments, stay for the history.
Last week, Drexel Libraries invited you to stop by Hagerty and make art books about dragons. We had a great turnout, and now those books are on display, along with some of the books from the library stacks that inspired your creations. Visit the exhibit in Hagerty Library”s first floor atrium at the foot of the stairs.
Can’t make it? View pictures from the event and the exhibit here.
Thanks to all who participated!
Happy Jazz Appreciation Month!
We’re kicking off the swinging month of April with a jazz reception at the Bookmark Café.
Stop by today from 4 to 6, soak up the sounds of the Maxfield Gast Quartet, and have some coffee and candy on us.

Drexel University Libraries are joining in the fun of Welcome Back Week, starting with a bookmaking event on Wednesday, March 31st from 10am to 4pm. Drop by Hagerty’s main entrance and get inspired by dragon images and books from DU Archive’s and Hagerty’s collections. Making a book takes 15 minutes, but the payoff lasts much longer–we’ll add creations from the event to a temporary display. We’ll arrange for you to pick up your book later in the term. And you can still make a book even if you don’t want it on display.
Feeling jazzy? We’re welcoming you back on Thursday, April 1st, and kicking off Jazz Appreciation Month at the same time. Stop by the Bookmark Cafe between 4 and 6pm, have some coffee and candy on us, and enjoy some jazz from the terrific Maxfield Gast Quartet.
