Researching an industry? Drexel University Libraries is currently running trials of two industry databases until February 24th.
Freedonia Focus Report Collection provides insight and analysis into over 700 US and international industries. Approximately two-thirds of the reports address energy, construction, electronics, pharmaceuticals, and packaging. The remaining reports look at consumer products and service industries.
Plunkett Market Research offers over 30 market research centers, with detailed market research trends, statistics, and industry associations. Each report also has a video introduction to the industry as well as a news section.
We’re running these two trials to see one of them will fit our needs better than our current industry overview database, IBISWorld. IBISWorld provides over 700 reports on US industries. Following the NAICS system, these reports detail industries from Architects to Veterinary Services. Reports follow a set format including: Industry Outlook, Major Competitors, and Operating Conditions.
