ScholarSip Brings Faculty and Staff together in Cross-Disciplinary Celebration

ScholarSip ConversationTo mark the end of winter quarter, on Monday, March 19, 2012, nearly 70 Drexel faculty and professional staff attended ScholarSip, a cross-disciplinary networking event held at the Academic Bistro and hosted by Drexel University Libraries. The event kicked-off with light refreshments and drinks, followed by an informative presentation from Youngmoo Kim, assistant dean of media technologies and associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, who introduced the Excite project. The project served as an innovative example of the cross-disciplinary intersections of technologies and the arts at Drexel and in Philadelphia.

In total, ten of Drexel’s 13 schools and colleges were represented at the event, as well as various additional departments and programs.

Faculty and staff are invited to the next ScholarSip event to be held on the last day of classes in June 2012 to celebrate the end of spring term.  To suggest a topic for a future ScholarSip presentation, or for more information, contact Jenny James Lee, marketing and events associate, via email or at 215-571-4095.
