Hahnemann Library Offers Updated Scanner for Patron Use

In response to overwhelmingly positive feedback supplied by patrons during an initial equipment trial phase, we are delighted to announce that an updated version of the self-service “scannx” scanning station is now available for use at Hahnemann Library. With the “scannx Book ScanCenter 5022” users can now access the following services:

  • Quick and easy scanning via a user-friendly touch screen interface
  • Saving scanned documents as a variety of file types (including searchable pdf, doc and jpeg)
  • Sending scanned documents directly to email
  • Saving scanned documents to a USB drive
  • Saving scanned documents to a Google docs account
  • Sending scanned documents to Smart Phones and tablets via a QR code
  • Option to enhance document security by attaching a password to scanned items

The new scanner is located on the second floor of Hahnemann, directly across from the circulation desk.
