Faculty and Staff from Across Campus join in Celebration of Scholarship

On Monday, June 11th, over forty Drexel faculty and professional staff gathered to toast the last day of spring classes and join in cross-disciplinary conversations at the second ScholarSip event. Drexel’s athletic director and Carl R. Pacifico Professor of Neuropsychology, Eric Zillmer provided the evening’s ‘food for thought’ with an insightful presentation on the psychology of terrorism.

Zillmer is a recognized expert in matters of terrorism and the author of over 100 scholarly papers and eight books. During his presentation, he discussed a terrorists’ decision-making process, the social context under which terror acts occur and the specific personalities that may be involved in terrorist atrocities.

Most of Drexel’s colleges and a variety of departments and administrative offices were represented at the event, which was held at Drexel’s Academic Bistro.

ScholarSip is a quarterly event hosted by Drexel University Libraries to bring together faculty and professional staff from across campus in a celebration of Drexel scholarship. The event began in spring 2012.
