Have something you’d like to print? How about printing it for free?
The Libraries is trialing PaperCut, new printing software, and in exchange for your feedback we would like to offer you free printing! The first 50 people to come to Hahnemann Library starting on Monday, July 9th at 9:30 AM will receive $5 toward whatever item(s) you've been waiting to print. To participate, stop by the first floor Help Desk at Hahnemann Library between Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM, and let the staff member on duty know that you'd like your $5 in free printing.
Printing Panic
The Dragon Card machine needs to be fixed so I can print for 10 cents and not 25. Also, the copiers should be fixed. Thanks!
Thanks for letting us know. When copiers, cards readers, etc. are broken, we jump into action to get them fixed as soon as someone alerts us to the problem.
Bigger, Better, Faster -- and More!
Printers, that is!
All of the black-and-white printers in Hahnemann Library have been replaced by higher-capacity printers, and an additional black-and-white printer has been added on the second floor, near the reference-area computers. The new printers have a higher paper storage capacity, and higher pages-per-minute print rate. An Adobe Postscript utility built into the printers will help them recognize and process PDF documents quickly without bogging down the printing queue.
Each printer is connected to a swipe-card station, and operates just as the older black-and-white printers did (
Printing Fees
Speaking on behalf of the student population, we do not believe that we should pay for printing.
Sticky Card Scanners
The printer in the side room on the first floor is *never* working properly. It’s always off center!
Thanks for writing. The card scanner screen in the first floor copy room does sometimes annoyingly shift off center so that you can’t read it. If this happens, please come to the reference desk—we have a tool to quickly get it back on track.
