Two new technologies are now available for students, faculty and staff at Hahnemann Library: a media:scape and projectors. Both technologies designed to support group work and collaborative projects especially when individuals need to work together on a presentation, paper or research project. Collaborative media:scape workstations are already in place at W. W. Hagerty Library and the Library Learning Terrace and are popular destinations for groups.
Drexel University Libraries Expands Access to Harvard Business Review Articles to Include Course Use
Drexel faculty may now assign Harvard Business Review [HBR] articles in courses, including placing articles on reserve, posting them to course management shells, and adding them in course packs, as the result of a new licensing agreement acquired by the Libraries.
The Libraries’ special license will extend course use to HBR articles on behalf of Drexel faculty university-wide. Previously, the Libraries provided researchers access to the HBR, but the publisher restricted use of articles for courses.
The Libraries are trying something new...we know you love that the Libraries' stay open 24/7 during final's week, so we've decided to try out going 24/7 for midterms [week five] as well. The Libraries will be open from 10 AM on Sunday, April 29th through 10 PM on Friday, May 4th.
This new effort is in part thanks to a suggestion from USGA. Let us know what you think!
The Libraries will host the following workshops during the Spring 2012 term. Locations, presenters, times and dates are included below. Use the link in the workshop title to register for a workshop.
The Libraries is excited to announce a new tool that will help you troubleshoot online services problems. The Status of Online Services page displays a list of online services and a status update, which shows the current status of that tool or service.
** Update - 4/26/12 - The trial for these scanners has expired and they are no longer available at W. W. Hagerty.
Have you noticed our new scanners in W. W. Hagerty Library? There are two new scanners and we're trying them out to see what type we might purchase in the future.
Before we make that choice, we'd like to hear your thoughts about these two scanners.
1. If you used the scanner, which did you use, and how simple was it to use?
