Drexel University will close at 4 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 due to weather conditions. The Libraries will remain open, but some locations will have adjusted hours:
W. W. Hagerty Library will be closed from 7am to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, June 19, while the Drexel University Police Department conducts an Active Shooter Exercise along with several local law enforcement agencies. The exercise will take place inside Hagerty Library, located at 3300 Market Street, from 8am to 1pm. In addition to the library closure, there will be an increased police presence and sidewalk closures associated with the exercise. Please avoid the area.
Hahnemann Library will close at 9 PM on Wednesday, August 15th and Thursday, August 16th due to a power outage. The outage is scheduled so that repairs can be made to the electrical substation in the New College Building.
Because both normal and emergency power will be affected, Hahnemann Library AND the 24-hour Study Space will be closed these nights. The 24-hour study space will be reopened the following mornings at 7:45, the Library’s normal opening time.
We're celebrating American independence just like the rest of you: by closing up shop and heading to the fireworks. That means the library's closing at 8pm on Sunday, and it'll be closed all day on Monday, July 4th.
Happy Independence Day!
