The Libraries was recently made aware of HVAC [heating, ventilation, and air conditioning] repair work happening to the duct work in the New College Building that will effect Hahnemann Library. Patrons may experience variations in temperature or noise as this work is done. We apologize in advance for the effect that this work will have on the library spaces. So far, the lower level computer lab seems to be the area most drastically effected, due to the additional heat generated by the computers.
Construction work will begin in mid-June on the lower level of W. W. Hagerty Library. The work will, at times, include a significant amount of noise and disruption to activities in rooms L13A, L13C and L14. The majority of work with loud equipment will occur during break week. The work will last for approximately one month.
The lower level will remain open during construction, but may be noisy at times. Facilities will work to minimize the disruption. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Libraries Administration
The Library Learning Terrace will be closed until further notice due to an incident with the sprinkler system in the Race Street Residence Hall. The Libraries staff are working closely with University Facilities to make repairs to the space. A timeline for repairs and the re-opening is not yet available. We apologize for any inconvenience.
If you have any direct questions or concerns, please contact the Libraries' Administrative Office at 215-895-2750.
The Bookmark Café will undergo it's usual daily closures for cleaning this weekend, but it will be shortened by a half hour. This means that on Saturday the 20th and Sunday the 21st, the café will be closed from 3:30-4p.m. instead of 3:00 to 4. You get an extra half hour to study in café luxury!
