Liaison Librarian for Engineering, Jay Bhatt, Authors Chapter in “Integrating Information into the Engineering Design Process”
Engineering design is a fundamental problem-solving model used by the discipline. Effective problem-solving requires the ability to find and incorporate quality information sources. To teach courses in this area effectively, educators need to understand the information needs of engineers and engineering students and their information gathering habits.
On Monday, July 15, 2013, Spencer Lamm joined the staff of the Libraries as manager, discovery systems. He previously worked as the digital initiatives librarian at Swarthmore College where his responsibilities included managing the infrastructure systems and user-facing applications of the Tri-College Library Consortium, which includes Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College.
The Libraries is actively changing the face of its staff with recruitment efforts underway for ten positions over the past month. No new positions have been added to the staff. Instead the positions are carefully redefined jobs to address vacancies and meet numerous factors of change.
Dorothy Ann Colflesh [Schwartz], Director of Administrative Services, passed away June 29, 2010. She earned two master degrees from Drexel, an MBA from the LeBow College of Business and an MLIS from the College of Information Science and Technologies.
