On Monday, June 9, 2014, the Libraries’ welcomed Abby Adamczyk as Liaison Librarian for Life Sciences. Abby is the Libraries’ primary liaison to the CoAS departments of Biology, Chemistry, and BEES (Biodiversity, Earth & Environmental Science) and will join the Libraries’ liaison team for the College of Medicine.
On Monday, January 27, 2014, the Libraries’ welcomed Evan Rich as the new Library Assistant for Resource Sharing. Evan has his bachelor’s degree in anthropology with additional coursework in computer science and communications media. Evan previously worked at the Schoenberg Center for Electronic Text and Image/University of Pennsylvania Rare Books and Manuscripts Library where he worked as the Digital Library Assistant.
Evan will be based at Hahnemann Library with the bulk of the resource sharing team.
On Monday, December 16th, Eddie Rubeiz joined the Libraries’ systems department as the new web developer. Eddie joins the Libraries from the Columbia University Center for New Media Teaching and Learning. His primary focus will be on developing, implementing and maintaining the user-focused aspects of the Libraries web sites and applications.
Eddie’s office is located in W. W. Hagerty Library.
On Monday, September 30th the Libraries welcomed Janice Masud-Paul as Librarian for Nursing Research. Prior to joining the Libraries, Janice served as the head of information technology for the Camden County Library System where she had been since 1998. In her role there, she coordinated the shared integrated library management system, networks and associated hardware.
On Monday, August 12, 2013, Sophie Miles joined the Libraries as Technician I for Reserves in the Library Services department. Sophie will work with the reserves team to process physical and electronic items for addition to the reserves collection. She will provide outreach and support for reserves patrons and help maintain reserves collections at all Libraries locations.
On Monday, July 15, 2013, Spencer Lamm joined the staff of the Libraries as manager, discovery systems. He previously worked as the digital initiatives librarian at Swarthmore College where his responsibilities included managing the infrastructure systems and user-facing applications of the Tri-College Library Consortium, which includes Swarthmore College, Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College.
On Monday, June 24, 2013 the Libraries welcomed Brian Kall as Senior Financial Analyst in the Libraries Administrative Office. Brian most recently worked in Drexel’s LeBow College of Business as a finance administrator and has experience in retail operations. He earned is MBA in finance at Drexel University.
Brian’s office is located in the Administrative Suite at W. W. Hagerty Library.
On Monday, May 20, 2013 the Libraries welcomed Kate Leisman as Administrative Coordinator in the Libraries Administrative Office. Kate joins the Libraries after working at the University of Pennsylvania Center for Teaching and Learning. Prior to that she served as a financial aid coordinator for Penn’s Law School.

In November, 2012 the Libraries welcomed Joe Schaffner, evening & weekend reference librarian. Joe has an M.A. in English Literature from Rutgers University and is currently working towards his MSLIS at Drexel, which he will complete in December 2012.
Previously, Joe worked in reference and instruction at Temple University’s Paley Library and as a courseware support intern at the University of Pennsylvania’s Van Pelt Library.
On Monday, September 17, 2012, Chris Clement joined the Drexel University Libraries' staff as the library applications developer. He has a master’s degree in computer science from Drexel University and he previously worked at Lockheed Martin. Chris will be based at W. W. Hagerty Library in the Library Technologies offices.
