You may have recently noticed some changes to the library catalog -- we've made some improvements! The new design is closer to the look of the library website and we hope that these improvements have made the OPAC more friendly
Some specific features include:
I would like to bring up the frivolity of most internet use within the building. At times it seems like people are camped out (and I mean for extended periods) at every computer on Facebook, doing absolutely nothing but wasting bandwidth. Furthermore, this problem appears to have expanded to the second-floor catalog computers, where students feel it is their right to take over these convenience pcs for double-checking call numbers to find books and searching for nearby items.
The Libraries' transition from SFX to Get It! is almost complete. You should be seeing the eye-catching Get It! button in all database search result. Get It! will lead from your search results to the Drexel-subscribed options for getting the full text of an article online; if the article isn't available online, Get It!
We've told you about Find It, and now we introduce you to Get It, another useful tool for finding what you need from the Drexel Library website. We are very excited to announce that we are replacing SFX, our old full text finding system with Get It, which will be much more user friendly, dependable, and higher quality.
