Dr. Schweitzer-Stenner and graduate student Jonathan Soffer have published a chapter in volume one of the new reference work Comprehensive Biophysics (Copyright © 2011 Elsevier B.V.) Editor-in-Chief: Edward H. Egelman ISBN: 978-0-08-095718-0. The chapter is titled: Optical Spectroscopy.

DrexelNow pulled Dr. Ken Lacovara, paleontologist and associate professor of biology in the College of Arts and Sciences, from his work in a marl pit in Gloucester County, NJ, to find out what he’s currently reading. He just finished The Map That Changed the World by Simon Winchester.
Dr. Lacovara states: It’s a biography of a man named William Smith.

As part of the 2012 Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition, an interactive talk by Dr Stephen Liddle with plenty of exciting demonstrations.
Chemistry is central to everything you do in your life. So much so, that we take it for granted and often forget about it. This talk, through a series of short demonstrations aims to convey the major themes that underpin the wonder of chemistry.
