Tenet Hospital's operations departments have announced that electrical power will be shut down in the New College Building at 10:00 pm on Wednesday Oct. 16th to facilitate systems repairs. Because of the power outage, Hahnemann Library -- including the 24-hour study space -- will close at 9:30 pm and both will remain closed until 7:45 am on Thursday, Oct. 17th. If repairs cannot be completed Wednesday night, the power will be shut down again on Thursday night, and the Library and 24-hour study space will be closed at 9:30 pm again.
The Libraries was recently made aware of HVAC [heating, ventilation, and air conditioning] repair work happening to the duct work in the New College Building that will effect Hahnemann Library. Patrons may experience variations in temperature or noise as this work is done. We apologize in advance for the effect that this work will have on the library spaces. So far, the lower level computer lab seems to be the area most drastically effected, due to the additional heat generated by the computers.
During Winter Break, Drexel University Libraries locations will be closed on the following days:

Hahnemann Library will close at 9 PM on Wednesday, August 15th and Thursday, August 16th due to a power outage. The outage is scheduled so that repairs can be made to the electrical substation in the New College Building.
Because both normal and emergency power will be affected, Hahnemann Library AND the 24-hour Study Space will be closed these nights. The 24-hour study space will be reopened the following mornings at 7:45, the Library’s normal opening time.
The Libraries is trialing PaperCut, new printing software, and in exchange for your feedback we would like to offer you free printing! The first 50 people to come to Hahnemann Library starting on Monday, July 9th at 9:30 AM will receive $5 toward whatever item(s) you’ve been waiting to print. To participate, stop by the first floor Help Desk at Hahnemann Library between Monday – Friday, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM, and let the staff member on duty know that you’d like your $5 in free printing.
In response to overwhelmingly positive feedback supplied by patrons during an initial equipment trial phase, we are delighted to announce that an updated version of the self-service “scannx” scanning station is now available for use at Hahnemann Library.
