The Libraries shared in the excitement as several library student workers and staff joined the Drexel alumni community at the commencement ceremonies. In total, four library staff members and five student workers earned their degrees.
The Libraries congratulates the following individuals and thanks them for their contributions in helping to make the Libraries, its information resources, environments and services available and supportive of the Drexel community.
John Wiggins was appointed as the chair of the Data Collection for Library Managers Committee of the Library Leadership and Management Association beginning on July 1, 2014. During the one-year appointment, Wiggins will lead a committee of 15 library professionals.
The committee seeks to identify and disseminate information about the effective collection of measurement data in libraries and also provide resources for individuals looking to develop skills in measurement data.
For over fifty years, the American Library Association has sponsored observance of National Library Week during the month of April. This week celebrates the contributions of the nation’s libraries and promotes their use. This month at Drexel, we focus on library staff, including librarians, archivists, support staff and professionals with diverse expertise in such areas as technologies, communications and fiscal controls.
