As part of its ongoing term focus on energy and sustainability, the Great Works Symposium will host guest lecturers on our historical and future reliance on coal, nuclear and oil on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at 6 p.m.

What resources the Senior Design Team used that Win $75,000 Phase II EPA Funding?

The senior design team of Eric Eisele, Courtney Reid, Dan Pugh, Sarah Byrnes, and Charlie Woods was awarded a Phase II People, Prosperity, and Planet Award from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  See Senior Design Team wins EPA funding for more details.

The Student Life Symposium on Sustainability and Social Justice hosted by the Division of Student Life Professional Development, Sustainability and Social Justice Committees will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, from 11:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in Behrakis Grand Hall, Creese Student Center (32nd and Chestnut Streets).

Home Depot Smart Home

Completed in November of 2007, the Smart Home was awarded a LEED-NC Platinum Certification by the U.S. Green Building Council for its excellence is sustainable design. Several sustainable systems are incorporated into the home including rainwater harvesting, solar hot water heating, photovoltaic power generation, a green roof, rain garden, energy recovery ventilator, and renewable and recycled materials.

Webcasts/podcasts from Drexel Green

Drexel Green site provides access to several webcasts/podcasts of presentations conducted at the Mitchell Auditorium, Bossone Research Enterprise Center,  on a variety of topics  including climate change, capitalism and sutainability, science of global warming, and Drexel and its waste.
