This is a fact sheet from the National Cancer Institute, which is the federal
government's principal agency for cancer research. Statistics cited are from NCI research studies, and from the National Center for Health Statistics. This would be an authoritative
site for data on this topic.
On the LungCancer.org site you find this interesting chart about cancer.
At the bottom of this chart are references for the data. The statistics
come from the National Cancer Institute and the American Cancer Society.
If you click on the "Home" link at the bottom of this page,
you'll find the main page for the site which has a link to their mission
and tells you that the Oncology Nursing Society sponsors the site. Though
they are not using their own data for the statistics, it is still a relatively
authoritative site.

This page provides some good information about cancer in black men and women, and does provide a citation for the statistics cited (from
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and National Cancer Institute). However, the credentials of the author (an inspirational and business development speaker)
indicate that this is not really an authoritative source.
Again, this site does provide statistics from an authoritative source (NCI), but the author's degree in dentistry does not indicate that he would be an authority on cancer epidemiology.
