What can I donate to the Archives?

Images from the University Archives

 

You can save the history of your organization by sending the following to the Archives:

  • Constitutions, charters, and by-laws Minutes and reports of meetings and committees
  • Membership lists
  • Organizational histories
  • Publications such as newsletters Publicity and promotional materials, such as brochures or event programs
  • Officers' files: correspondence and memoranda (incoming and outgoing) and subject files concerning projects, activities, and functions
  • Scrapbooks
  • Audio-visual materials
    • Photographs
    • Films, DVDs, VHS video tapes
    • CDs, tapes, reel-to-reel or other audio recordings
   

Please do not send us the following types of material:

  • Duplicate and blank forms
  • Detailed financial records, canceled checks, bank statements, and receipts
  • Plaques and trophies

 

Please include a brief inventory identifying the types of records you are donating. For more information, please contact the University Archives.
