Dragons' Learning Den: 24/7 Study Space

The Dragons’ Learning Den is the Drexel Libraries’ 24-hour space in the W. W. Hagerty Library.

Features:

The space is available to all members of the Drexel community during normal library hours. After the library closes, access with a Dragon Card for swipe-in entry.

To enter the Den after the main library closes each day, go to the double doors at the end of the patio closest to 33rd & Ludlow Streets. Scan your Drexel ID on the keypad to enter. The outer doors only open after the main library closes. During normal library hours, enter the Den through the doors next to the Service Desk.

Library Learning Terrace

Address: 3300 Race Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 (adjacent to the Race Street residence hall)

The Library Learning Terrace is an innovative learning environment located in the heart of the student residential district of Drexel's Main Campus. Opened in 2011, the Terrace offers a space for up to 75 students to work individually or in groups and includes movable chairs, tables, writing boards, as well as projector and one wall completely treated as a writing surface. The space also provides access to a portable power charger lending kiosk. Though no staff other than a security guard are constantly present, librarians and other tutors schedule programs and consultations in this space where students can arrange furnishings to meet their work activities.

A Drexel University Dragon Card is required to enter the Library Learning Terrace.

W. W. Hagerty Library

W. W. Hagerty Library is located on Drexel's Main Campus in University City, Philadelphia. Named after former Drexel University President William Walsh Hagerty, the library opened in 1983 and presently houses over 300,000 books, periodicals, DVDs, videos and the University Archives. 

The W. W. Hagerty Library location is also home to the Dragons' Learning Den, which has a variety of seating and group workspace options, laptop and portable power charger kiosks, and is open 24/7.

A valid photo ID (Dragon Card, Drivers License, University ID, Passport, etc.) is required to enter the W. W. Hagerty Library. 

Members of the public are welcome to visit the W. W. Hagerty Library between 7:30am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. Visit our Services page for more information about visitor and guest hours and services.
