Shannon Robinson partners with faculty from Westphal College of Media Arts & Design to integrate information literacy instruction into the classroom, provide research support to the College's students and faculty, and develop the library collections to meet the curriculum needs of the Media Arts & Design programs.

She earned her MFA in Fibers and Fabrics from Tyler School of Art, Temple University and her MLIS from Drexel University. Prior to coming to Drexel, Shannon taught at Tyler School of Art, was the Access Services Librarian at The University of the Arts, and the Fine Arts Liaison Librarian at Denison University.

Her research interests include the information needs of visual and performing artists and designers, research-based art practices, and Outsider Art. She is continually active in the art librarianship profession though conference presentations, journal publications and book reviews, and serving on various local and national committees.
