Academy of Natural Sciences Library & Archives Collections Now Searchable through Libraries Website
Collections from the Academy of Natural Sciences Library and Archives are now searchable through the University Libraries online catalog, increasing visibility of the Academy’s holdings and extending the reach of its collections. Students, faculty and researchers – specifically those interested in the natural sciences – will find added conveniences and efficiency with this new single search option.
The Academy collections can be searched via the Libraries homepage by selecting “Books and More” in the red drop-down menu. Print and physical items from the Academy will now appear alongside other Drexel University print, electronic, video and audio collections. However, those wishing to search only those collections located at the Academy can still do so by selecting “Academy of Natural Sciences” from the drop-down box (in lieu of “All Libraries”).
Access to Academy items is still managed by the staff at their library and archives and researchers should use the blue ‘Ask at ANS’ button to contact the correct library staff. Also, access to electronic collections reserved solely for ANS-funded staff is still managed by the ANS Library & Archives through a separate list on their native website, along with other helpful visitor and collections information.
