The Libraries Welcome: Riha Prophet, Library Services Assistant
On Monday, September 8, 2014, the Libraries welcomed Riha Prophet, Library Services Assistant. Riha will be responsible in helping to oversee the Library Assistance desks at W. W. Hagerty and Hahnemann Libraries, splitting her work-day to serve both locations.
Riha’s main duties will include assisting with known item, directional, and service-based inquiries. She will also assist in locating and circulating materials, gathering statistics, troubleshooting problems, interpreting policies, and referring patrons to the appropriate department; in person at service desk, via IM chat, and over the phone.
Riha graduated from Bryn Mawr College, with a B.A. in Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology. During this time she also worked as a circulation desk attendant at the Carpenter Library and as a technical assistant at Bryn Mawr’s Visual Resource Center. Since graduating in 2011, Riha has worked as a circulation desk attendant at Radnor Memorial Library in Wayne, PA, assisting patrons with library resources and also worked with the technical services department to process new material.
