New Year - New Updates from the Libraries
The New Year is often a time for reflection and resolutions. In the Libraries the new year provides opportunities for both as most students leave campus for the break giving the Libraries a rare quiet moment to make improvements and changes to our physical environments.
- At all locations updated signage replaced outdated signs and new color-coded zones were unveiled to help designate different types of learning environments within our facilities.
- At the Center City Library the reference desk was disassembled and the new Library Assistance program already in place at W. W. Hagerty Library has been implemented. Patrons with reference questions will continue to be directed to librarians, but patrons with more general questions will receive immediate assistance from the circulation desk staff.
- At W. W. Hagerty Library, new carpeting was installed in the first floor computer area to improve the physical environment.
- An extension unit was added to the Laptop Lending Kiosk at W. W. Hagerty Library providing an additional 18 laptop computers for self-checkout. The addition brought the total available laptops up to 30.
