New Library Website Cheat Sheet
September 19, 2014
Looking for that tried-and-true resource in the new website? We've listed the most popular tools from the previous website and how you can get to them.
If you have a suggestion for us, please send us feedback via our website feedback form.
For an overview of the new site and all the other changes we've made see the post, New Website, Repository, Library Guides, and More!
Many people use the site as a way to quickly get to academic databases like ProQuest and Clinical Key. We identified the most prominent of those and placed them on the main page directly under the search box. We also placed direct links to all our databases in the Browse list under the search box and in the Search section of the site, accessible at the top of the site. The image below highlights these areas and can be clicked for a larger version.
Research Guides ARE NOW LIbRARY GUIDES
Guides to subjects and courses written by DUL Librarians can now be found in our new Library Guides application. Library Guides are accessible from the Browse list underneath the main page search box, from the Get Help section of the main page, and from the Research Support section of the site, accessible via the top navigation menu. The image below highlights these areas and can be clicked for a larger version.
As with the previous site, searching the library catalog is called Books & More, searching the Summon service is called Articles & More. Now you can also search the iDEA E-Repository from the search box. Learn more about searching library content in the Search section of the site, accessible via the top navigation menu.
Access different library search tools by using the red drop down menu in the search box.
Choose your search type (title, author, etc.) with the blue drop down menu.
Our tutorials are all now accessible in the new LIbrary Guides tool. You can access them directly via the the Research Support section of the site, accessible via the top navigation menu.
