We're looking for an archival processing intern to work on the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia records processing project! Here's the description: Drexel University, in partnership with the College of Physicians of Philadelphia, seeks an intern to help process the records of the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). This is a part-time internship, requiring 12 hours per week for 10 weeks, beginning on or about June 14, 2010. Strong preference will be given to Drexel iSchool students enrolled in INFO893/894. The hourly wage is /hour.

Responsibilities The intern will assist the project archivist in processing a collection of 20th century administrative records, including arrangement according to archival principles, description according to the DACS standard, and re-housing in archival enclosures.

Qualifications The intern should be enrolled in the MS/LIS program at Drexel's iSchool. Prior archival processing experience preferred, but not essential. Candidates must have good communication skills, be detail-oriented, able to work independently and able to lift record cartons up to 40 lbs.
