Winter Term ScholarSip Event Highlights the Many Facets of Trust
The Libraries welcomed members of the Drexel community to its 11th ScholarSip event on Monday, March 16, 2015 from 4 – 6 PM in the Academic Bistro. In total, 40 members of the faculty and professionals staff attended the event to hear a presentation from David Gefen, PhD, a Professor at Lebow College of Business.
Gefen presented on trust – reasons why people trust, why they distrust and how gender can affect how individuals approach trust. His research sparked a lively discussion on the many factors that influence trust and their potential uses.
ScholarSip is a quarterly series, hosted by the University Libraries, with a goal of stimulating cross-disciplinary discussions and connecting faculty and staff across campus. ScholarSip is hosted on the last day of classes each term and the next event will be on Monday, June 8, 2015.
